Design Engineer-Civil (Substation or Transmission Line)

As a Civil Design Engineer specializing in Substations, your role will primarily involve designing and analyzing various civil and structural components related to substations and transmission line structures. You will be responsible for conducting structural analysis using tools such as STAAD, ETABS, or equivalent software while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design and analyze civil components such as control room buildings, equipment foundations, cable trenches, and firewalls for substations. - Conduct structural analysis of transmission line structures including tower foundations, access roads, and gantries. - Prepare detailed civil drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and design reports. - Maintain accurate design records, Design Basis Reports (DBRs), and Design Criteria Inputs (DCIs). - Coordinate with cross-functional teams for approvals and technical clarifications. - Provide support to site teams during execution by offering drawing clarifications and technical guidance. - Assist in tender engineering and estimation by contributing preliminary designs and design inputs for proposals. - Ensure all designs meet national/international standards, project specifications, and environmental/geotechnical considerations. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural Engineering. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in design for substation and/or transmission line projects. Software Proficiency: - STAAD, ETABS for Analysis & Design. - AutoCAD, REVIT for Drafting (Preferred). - TEKLA for Structural Detailing (Preferred). - Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
