Design Conceptulizer

The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Master's preferred) along with 5+ years of relevant experience in boutique design firms. While international education or work exposure is considered an advantage, it is not mandatory. A strong portfolio showcasing executed Concept Designs for Architectural and interior projects is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Design software, and MS Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) is required. The successful candidate should have experience working in boutique architecture and interior design studios, with exposure to commercial, residential, hospitality, and institutional projects. They should demonstrate a proven ability as a design conceptualizer, capable of independently evolving ideas and translating them through team collaboration and drawing production. The candidate must possess the ability to extensively research different options of Architectural or Interior designs. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3D software, and Microsoft PowerPoint is necessary, with the ability to develop and present detailed design packages on short notice. A strong understanding of design detailing, FF&E sourcing, and project costing aligned to budgets is crucial. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident, client-facing demeanor are required. The candidate should be capable of preparing detailed concept drawings, technical drawings, and schematic presentations. As for the detailed responsibilities, the candidate will lead and manage the design process for Commercial, Residential, Institutional, Cultural, and Hospitality projects. They will develop original design concepts, sketches, and material boards, and translate these into detailed technical drawings and presentations. Ensuring that all design elements adhere to the client's vision, project timeline, and allocated budget is a key aspect of the role. Monitoring design implementation to ensure alignment with approved drawings and specifications is vital. Maintaining a high level of design quality, attention to detail, and project documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project is essential.
