Deputy Engineer

Job Description

Diploma/Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or Tool Die Making. Develop and monitor detailed production plans for new mold manufacturing and modifications. Coordinate with design, machining, EDM, assembly, and QC teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery. Track and update the mold manufacturing progress on a daily/weekly basis using planning tools or software. Prepare schedules based on priority, resource availability and customer delivery commitments. Identify bottlenecks, delays or material shortages and initiate corrective actions. Follow up with purchase and stores departments to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, components and standard parts. Maintain production reports, dashboard and status trackers. Work closely with project and toolroom managers to align manufacturing timelines with project goals. Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates to management and customers as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and production control processes. 4 5 years of experience in PPC for mold manufacturing. Good understanding of mold-making processes: CNC, EDM, grinding, fitting, trials, etc. Proficient in using ERP/MRP or planning tools (Excel, MS Project, SAP, etc.). Excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. Exposure to mold costing and lead time estimation. Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and 5S practices. Understanding of CAD software to read drawings and BOMs.
