Deputy Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in efficiently delivering all civil and structural engineering designs on the project. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality technical design outputs, technical governance, coordination within a multidisciplinary team, and client liaison on structural engineering issues. Your expertise will contribute to turning abstract ideas into tangible solutions that positively impact the world. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute in a senior role to the efficient and compliant delivery of civil and structural engineering designs - Ensure quality technical design delivery output, technical governance, and coordination within a multidisciplinary project team - Provide day-to-day engineering design support and take design responsibility for parts of the structural design works on the project Qualifications Required: - Hold a Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a relevant Engineering Discipline - Possess 2+ years of experience in designing Substations (GIS and AIS), Equipment foundations, Steel structures, Material handling Structures, etc. - Familiarity with Analysis Softwares like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, ROBOT, TEKLA TEDDS is preferred - Experience in civil engineering design of Substations, Foundations, Buildings, steel support structures as per UK and European standards - Ability to prepare design calculations, detailed design reports, and detailed drawings (AutoCAD or MicroStation) Additional Details: At Jacobs, the focus is on your professional growth and well-being.
