Deputy Director FDU - Faculty Development and Updation

Job Description: The role of Deputy Director in the Faculty Development and Updation (FDU) department involves assisting the Director in planning and executing faculty development programs focused on upskilling in emerging technologies. Your responsibilities include supporting faculty members in obtaining global/professional certifications, tracking their progress, and organizing necessary training sessions. You will evaluate faculty knowledge and skills through structured online/offline assessments and work towards bridging the gap between faculty skills and software industry requirements through targeted initiatives. Additionally, you will coordinate curriculum updates for diploma and degree programs in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Computer Applications. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Director in identifying emerging trends and domains in CSE, IT, and Computer Applications for faculty upskilling. - Identify gaps between faculty skills/knowledge and industry requirements and develop strategies to bridge these gaps. - Coordinate the assignment of global/professional certifications to faculty members, track their progress, and ensure timely provision of certification exam vouchers. - Collaborate in planning and organizing faculty development programs, hands-on training, and workshops. - Support the regular review and update of curricula for diploma and degree courses in CSE, IT, and Computer Applications. - Analyze data related to faculty development participation, outcomes, and impact, and present findings to the Director. - Assist teachers in developing innovative teaching-learning methods and assessment procedures. - Manage the day-to-day operations of the Faculty Development and Updation Cell. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Computer Science/IT or a related field is a must. - Global certifications or PhD in a relevant field will be preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching/software industry, with strong knowledge of cutting-edge technologies. - Experience in coordinating training programs or professional certifications will be an advantage.
