Overview PepsiCo is a global leader in Convenient Foods and Beverages with a focus on innovation, scalability, and cloud-first solutions. We are looking for a Deputy Director - AWS SRE to join our growing team and help drive the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based infrastructure. Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS. Automate operations using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines. Implement and refine observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Datadog. Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes. Work with engineering teams to improve system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (FinOps). Enhance security and compliance by implementing best practices (IAM, security groups, encryption). Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident resolution strategies Qualifications 12+ years of SRE/DevOps experience with AWS in large-scale production environments. Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53, etc.). Strong automation skills with Python, Go, or Bash. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CDK). Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker). Solid experience with observability & monitoring ( Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization (Docker). Understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Experience with FinOps and cost optimization on AWS. Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP). Previous experience working with high-traffic applications or fintech systems.
