Deployment Engineer

Role Overview: As a DevOps Engineer at ZeTheta Algorithms Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and optimizing the cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for innovative AI-powered educational tools in the FinTech sector. Working closely with student interns and fresh graduates, you will ensure smooth deployment of FinTech platforms while establishing best practices for continuous integration and delivery. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with mentorship opportunities, emphasizing the importance of understanding and experience with multiple tech stacks. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI - Automate build, test, and deployment processes for multiple web applications and APIs - Establish automated testing frameworks and code quality checks in deployment workflows - Create deployment strategies including blue-green deployments and rolling updates - Manage version control workflows and branching strategies for student development teams - Set up automated rollback mechanisms for failed deployments - Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) - Optimize EC2 instances for cost-efficiency and performance through right-sizing, auto-scaling, and spot instances - Configure and manage S3 buckets for static assets, backups, and data storage with lifecycle policies - Set up and optimize AWS services like CloudFront (CDN), Route 53 (DNS), and ELB (Load Balancers) - Implement AWS cost optimization strategies to minimize cloud spending while maintaining performance - Monitor and optimize database performance on RDS and MongoDB Atlas - Configure VPC, security groups, and network architecture for secure deployments - Implement automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Pytest, and Selenium - Set up code coverage tools and enforce quality gates - Create integration and end-to-end testing environments - Perform load testing and performance benchmarking using tools like Apache JMeter or k6 - Debug deployment issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve code problems - Establish monitoring for test execution and deployment success rates Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) - 2-4 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or deployment engineering - Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53) - Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Docker Compose) - Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration - Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js for automation - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) - Knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies - Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, CDN) Additional Details: ZeTheta Algorithms Private Limited is a pioneering FinTech start-up focused on developing AI-powered educational tools for simulated financial training.
