Job Description

As a Deployment Engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering voice and data systems for our customers. You will be a part of multi-disciplined project teams and work on the post-sales phases of projects, supporting multiple projects simultaneously based on their size and complexity. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing end-to-end deployment IP plan to develop communication and services meeting customer, end users, and operator requirements. - Taking charge of all customer-facing technical aspects from conceptual phases to system implementation. - Managing and facilitating communication between internal engineering departments and customers. - Generating system documentation and equipment lists using relevant tools and processes. - Conducting technical solution presentations to customers, project teams, and management. - Collaborating with project managers to monitor progress, decisions, and changes. In your role, you will be expected to: - Validate clients" needs and requirements against pre-sales design and Architecture Scope. - Perform detailed design and scope review. - Maintain an excellent working knowledge of IP & Transmission design, Motorola's public safety applications, and emerging industry trends. - Support colleagues in knowledge sharing and enhancing competencies. - Generate system-specific technical documentation to project quality standards. - Ensure systems meet quality and security standards. - Provide technical support for project deployment and resolve deviations from the design in a timely manner. - Participate in project reviews, identify risks, issues, and lessons learned. Basic Requirements: - Graduate engineer from an accredited college or university in Telecommunications, Computers, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline. - Additional qualifications in the IT sector are advantageous (e.g., CCNA, EX200, Networking). - Fluent in English. Advantageous Skills: - IP & Transmission design/implementation. - Secure remote access solutions (IPsec, SSL, VPN). - Experience in complex project integration and interface definition. - Strong background in communications solutions, applications, and architectures. Desirable Skills: - Knowledge of relevant communication standards such as Mission-Critical Push-to-Talk (MCPTT) and LMR. - Understanding of LTE technology and container virtualization with Docker SW. - Familiarity with leading industry OSS/BSS applications. The role might require travel within and outside the region, with travel time averaging less than 35% based on project demands or selection.
