Dean-Electrical Science

Job Summary:

The Dean of Electrical Sciences is responsible for providing strategic academic and administrative leadership across all departments under the School of Electrical Sciences. This includes overseeing curriculum development, faculty management, research initiatives, student engagement, and inter-departmental coordination. The Dean plays a key role in ensuring academic excellence, accreditation compliance, and alignment with institutional goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic planning for all departments under Electrical Sciences.

• Oversee curriculum design, academic policy implementation, and course delivery.

• Promote high-quality teaching, research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Guide faculty recruitment, performance evaluations, mentoring, and development.

• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards such as NBA, NAAC, and AICTE norms.

• Drive industry partnerships, internships, MoUs, and research funding opportunities.

• Monitor academic performance, student outcomes, and faculty research output.

• Facilitate student development through seminars, conferences, technical events, and skill-building programs.

• Collaborate with other deans and management to achieve institutional objectives.

• Prepare academic reports, budgets, and policy proposals for senior leadership review.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 15 years of teaching/research/academic leadership experience.

• Proven record of academic administration, research publications, and departmental leadership.
