Job Description

As a Senior Databricks Developer with 8-10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and scalable data solutions on the Databricks platform. Your expertise in Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud-based data solutions will be essential for this role. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake). You will be tasked with building and maintaining scalable and reliable data solutions on the Databricks platform, as well as developing and deploying Spark applications using Scala or Python. Optimizing Spark code for performance and efficiency will also be a key aspect of your role. In addition, you will implement data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes, design and implement data lake solutions, and ensure data quality checks and monitoring to maintain accuracy and integrity. Your ability to work with various data sources such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, APIs, and streaming data will be crucial for success in this role. You will also be responsible for integrating Databricks with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, managing and optimizing cloud resources related to Databricks deployments, and implementing cloud security best practices for data solutions. Collaboration with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and working closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making will be essential aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you should have 8-10 years of overall software engineering experience, proven expertise in building and deploying data pipelines, strong proficiency in Spark (Scala or Python), and a deep understanding of Databricks architecture and features. Experience with data engineering concepts, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data warehousing, and data lake concepts is also required. Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation is essential. Additionally, familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and experience with real-time data processing and streaming frameworks would be advantageous.
