Databricks Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design and optimize cloud-native data architectures on platforms like Databricks and Snowflake. In this role, you will lead the development of scalable data pipelines, drive governance and security frameworks, and enable advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions for global enterprise clients. This is a leadership opportunity for professionals passionate about shaping modern data ecosystems and mentoring data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integration strategies across platforms.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards, governance, and security models.
• Optimize Databricks clusters and jobs for performance and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and developers.
• Integrate Databricks with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable) and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to strengthen the data ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Support proposal development and pre-sales activities with technical expertise.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics.
• Hands-on expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Deep understanding of Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, data mesh, and governance principles.
• Knowledge of Unity Catalog and cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (GitHub).
• Experience delivering solutions balancing architecture requirements with client-specific needs.
• Domain experience in Retail.
• Relevant technical certifications in cloud, Databricks, or Snowflake.
