Database Specialist

As a Database Administrator at RMgX, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing database structures to support business applications and data-driven decision-making processes. You will manage and maintain multiple database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL. Your role will involve developing and executing database queries, stored procedures, and functions while ensuring data security and integrity. Monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to optimize system efficiency will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will perform regular database backups, develop disaster recovery plans, and conduct data migrations as needed. Collaboration with development teams to integrate database systems with applications and staying current with emerging database technologies is crucial for success in this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 3-5 years of experience in database administration. Proficiency in multiple database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) with strong SQL programming skills is required. You should possess in-depth knowledge of database design, implementation, optimization, data modeling, and security best practices. Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts will be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with an understanding of data privacy regulations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
