Database Engineer / Data Architect

As a Database Engineer / Data Architect at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable database solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable database solutions, whether relational or NoSQL. - Developing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions. - Designing and maintaining logical and physical data models that support business requirements. - Ensuring database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization. - Collaborating closely with software engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions. - Implementing and maintaining data integration pipelines such as ETL/ELT. - Ensuring data security, availability, and integrity through regular audits and backups. - Participating in data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management initiatives. - Providing documentation and technical guidance on database systems and architecture. In order to excel in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 2-4 years of experience as a Database Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role. - Strong knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle). - Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, dbt, Lucidchart, or similar). - Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) is a plus. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services. - Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
