promptly Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Database Architect to design, optimize, and maintain complex database systems supporting high-performance, scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Postgres, MongoDB, performance tuning, database sharding, and data migration strategies. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain database architecture using Postgres and MongoDB. Develop strategies for database sharding to support scalability and high availability. Conduct database performance tuning to optimize query execution and overall system performance. Plan and execute complex data migrations across heterogeneous database systems with minimal downtime. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless data flows and system reliability. Establish and maintain database best practices, including backup, recovery, security, and disaster recovery strategies. Provide expert guidance on database design and contribute to solution architecture for new and existing applications. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Postgres and MongoDB databases. Expertise in performance tuning of relational and NoSQL databases. Proven experience in database sharding and scaling large datasets. Solid experience in data migration between database systems and/or versions. Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Immediate Joiners Preferred
