Job Description

Install, configure, upgrade, and patch DB2 LUW (v10.5+ preferred) across Linux/Unix environments (RHEL/AIX).
Design, implement, and maintain HADR environments, including primary/standby setups, failover testing, and synchronization.
Manage high availability solutions such as TSA (Tivoli System Automation), QREP, and replication tools (CDC/Attunity).
Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning using tools like IBM Spectrum Protect/TDS.
Performance tuning: Analyze SQL queries, optimize indexes, monitor resource usage, and implement capacity planning.
Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash/Korn) and monitoring tools.
Support cloud migrations/hybrid environments (AWS IaaS/PaaS, RDS).
Provide 24/7 on-call support for production incidents.
Collaborate on database design, data modeling, and large-scale projects.
