Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support our data team during a transition period. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL database management across both on-premises and Azure environments. You will be working closely with the Data Team Lead and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, performance, and reliability of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL databases (on-prem and Azure).
Support migration, upgrades, and performance tuning activities.
Implement database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
Collaborate with the Data Team Lead and business stakeholders to ensure availability and scalability.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide proactive solutions.
Document processes and provide knowledge transfer as needed.

Required Skills:

Proven experience in SQL Database Administration (on-prem and Azure).
Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and related cloud services.
Hands-on experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
Expertise in database backup, recovery, and security management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Familiarity with data integration and reporting tools.
Prior consulting or transition support experience.
