Role Overview

Database Administrators/Engineers

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily database operations, including monitoring, configuration, upgrades, scaling, backups, and migrations.
• Continuously improve processes through automation and tooling.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies, replication, and failover mechanisms.
• Enforce database security policies, including access control and auditing.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., PCI DSS).
• Diagnose and resolve performance and stability issues in production environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to maintain 24/7 system availability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable data models and optimize queries.
• Research and adopt emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of DBA experience, including at least 3 years with Oracle or MySQL.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell) for automation.
• Business-level English proficiency.
• Interest in new technologies and improving operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience automating database or AWS operations.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with AWS Aurora (Postgres/MySQL compatible).
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for Oracle.
