Job Description

Role & responsibilities Good knowledge of execution plan. Performing database housekeeping, such as performance tuning (query optimization), indexing, etc. Knowledge of fragmentation/de-fragmentation in index. Knowledge of writing complex SQL query. Knowledge of statistics. Knowledge of Replication / Mirroring. Good knowledge of table partition (partition scheme, partition function, file group, logical file, size, maxsize, file growth and compression strategy). Knowledge of compress database (mdf / ldf / ndf) file. Good knowledge of Logical and physical read. Good knowledge of CPU and memory utilization for query. Good knowledge of database migration. Knowledge of Log Shipping. Good knowledge of database recovery. Knowledge of database archiving. Designing database backup and storage strategy with ndf file from query Creating and maintaining database standards and policies. Supporting database design, creation, and testing activities. Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management. Administering database objects to achieve optimum utilization. Defining and implementing event triggers that will alert on potential database performance or integrity issues. Installing upgrades and patches to various apps. Candidates are required to work from office only.
