Database Administration With Cloud Migration

As a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in DBA administration and Cloud migration, you will play a crucial role in leading the migration of on-premises databases to AWS/Azure, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring seamless transitions. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing migrations of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server databases, utilizing cloud native services/tools like AWS DMS and developing custom tools for large-scale data migrations. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining terraform modules and patterns, designing and implementing database migrations with minimal downtime, and performing tasks such as database performance tuning, backups, and recovery. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve migration issues will also be a key part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute migrations of Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server databases to AWS and Azure - Utilize cloud native services/Tools (e.g. AWS DMS) and open-source tools, develop custom tools for large-scale data migrations - Develop & maintain terraform modules and patterns - Design and implement database migrations with minimal downtime and data integrity checks - Perform database performance tuning, backups, and recovery - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve migration issues Qualifications: - 3+ years of AWS/Azure cloud migration experience - Proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server DBA tasks - Strong knowledge of database architecture and automation tools - Expertise in terraform - AWS/Azure certification preferred About Client: Our Client is a global IT services company specializing in digital engineering and IT services, helping clients modernize their technology infrastructure and accelerate innovation.
