Data Transformation Principal Software Engineer 1

As a Senior Technical Team Leader specializing in Business Intelligence, Data Governance, and Reporting, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of BI strategies, tools, and reporting solutions to align with the organization's business objectives. Your responsibilities will include serving as a subject matter expert in BI, providing support for internal initiatives, and mentoring team members on best practices. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable data models, analytical layers, and interactive dashboards using modern BI tools, primarily Power BI. Your role will involve optimizing BI architecture for scalability, performance, and adaptability to evolving business needs, as well as applying performance optimization techniques to enhance data processing, dashboard responsiveness, and user experience. Ensuring high standards of data quality, consistency, and governance across all BI solutions will be essential. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to define and meet BI requirements will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Utilizing advanced Power BI features like DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service, you will build robust, automated reporting and analytical solutions. Additionally, hosting workshops and office hours to guide business units on Power BI usage, self-service BI strategies, and technical troubleshooting will be part of your role. Staying updated on emerging BI tools, trends, and methodologies to drive continuous innovation and improvement is crucial for success in this position. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and reporting. Expert-level proficiency in BI tools, particularly Power BI, and certifications such as Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL300) and Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)- DAMA are desired. Strong command of DAX, Power Query, SQL for data modeling, integration, and Python for analysis is essential. Proficiency in Agile\Scrum or traditional project management methodologies, fostering a collaborative team culture, and encouraging continuous learning are also valuable skills for this role. This position requires a total experience of 14-18 years and may involve work at the secondary location of Noida Campus.
