You are sought after for the position of Data Tester with a remarkable 35 years of experience in data validation, ETL/ELT testing, and API services testing. Your skill set should include strong SQL capabilities, proficiency in Python for automation, and familiarity with GCP data platforms like BigQuery and Spanner DB. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct data testing and validation for ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and real-time data streams. - Create and implement complex SQL queries to validate extensive datasets in BigQuery and relational databases. - Verify JSON schemas and XML data structures to maintain format consistency and data integrity. - Perform MDM testing, covering Match/Merge/Survivor validation scenarios. - Automate data validation processes using Python scripting and data testing frameworks. - Execute data quality, transformation, and reconciliation testing across diverse data sources. - Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to pinpoint, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues. - Validate semi-structured and unstructured data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. - Analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies using analytical and problem-solving skills. - Operate within Agile environments to assure timely and accurate delivery of testing outcomes. Required Skills & Experience: - 35 years of experience in data testing, ETL/ELT, and API testing. - Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating large datasets (BigQuery preferred). - Hands-on experience with Python for scripting and automation. - Understanding of MDM concepts and data validation techniques (Match/Merge/Survivor testing). - Experience validating JSON and XML data formats. - Familiarity with GCP tools such as BigQuery and Spanner DB. - Exposure to data quality testing tools and frameworks. - Strong analytical and debugging abilities for resolving complex data issues. - Exposure to semi-structured and unstructured data validation techniques.
