Data Security Specialist

Role Overview: As a Data Security Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and optimize Insider Risk Management (IRM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and policies for clients. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will safeguard client environments, maintain security posture, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Your expertise will play a critical role in mitigating data security risks and upholding the highest standards of data governance. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate on implementing and managing Data Security solutions and technologies such as Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management, Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention, and Microsoft Sentinel. - Enforce and update data protection policies, procedures, and standards, contribute to data governance initiatives, and ensure adherence to best practices. - Monitor and analyze data flows to identify potential data security threats and insider risk cases, utilizing platforms like Code42, Varonis, or other third-party data security platforms and SIEMs. - Configure and manage data security policies, rules, and classifications to prevent data leaks and unauthorized access. - Investigate and respond to security incidents, data breaches, or policy violations according to established escalation paths, while staying informed about the latest data security technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications Required: - At least 6+ years of professional experience in compliance or data security, specifically with experience in Microsoft IRM, Microsoft DLP, and 3rd party DLP/SIEM technologies. - Strong understanding of data security monitoring and protocols. - Willingness to work in 24*7 rotational shifts. - Hold Microsoft Certifications such as SC-100, SC-400, SC-300, and MS-500.
