Data Scientist - R/Python

You are a skilled Data Science Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, demand forecasting, and supply chain analytics. In this role based in Bangalore, you will be a key member of the team supporting the delivery of the Forecast & Replenishment product. Your responsibilities will include conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to analyze sales, demand patterns, seasonality, and supply chain data for optimal model configurations. You will also fine-tune and optimize forecasting and replenishment models based on business and data insights, evaluate model performance, and communicate results effectively to business stakeholders. Collaboration with supply chain planners, product teams, and IT teams is crucial to ensure that model configurations align with business objectives. Additionally, you will troubleshoot potential data issues, create documentation, and provide training on model usage and interpretation. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Data Science certifications from reputable institutions are considered a plus. Strong technical skills in SQL, Python/R for data analysis, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI are required. An ability to analyze large datasets, interpret patterns, and select suitable forecasting models is essential. Your business acumen should enable you to translate data insights into actionable strategies for supply chain management. Effective communication skills are necessary to convey complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. A deep understanding of demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory optimization is also expected.
