Data Scientist III

Role Overview: Expedia Group is seeking a Data Scientist III, Analytics to join their InsurTech team. As part of this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with product partners to optimize and launch innovative insurance and FinTech products. Your role will involve harnessing data from diverse sources, translating insights into actionable strategies, designing and executing A/B tests, defining key metrics, and delivering impactful product and customer insights to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product teams to uncover new product opportunities and identify friction points in existing experiences. - Translate insights into actionable strategies for product innovation and enhancement. - Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate product performance and quantify outcomes into clear financial impact. - Define, track, and visualize key metrics through intuitive dashboards for real-time business monitoring. - Deliver product and customer insights to cross-functional stakeholders to drive informed decision-making. - Support product roadmap planning and go-to-market strategy by providing analytical guidance and strategic recommendations. Qualification Required: - Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. - Experience: 5+ years of analytics experience with a focus on product analytics and measurements. - Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in experimentation, causal inference, and advanced analytics. - Technical Expertise: Proficiency in big data tools such as SQL, Python, Databricks, AWS, etc. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven track record of collaborating with teams across Product, Finance, and other departments. - Problem-Solving & General Management: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
