Data Scientist

Role Overview: As a Data Scientist at Google, you will play a crucial role in serving Google's worldwide user base by providing quantitative support, market understanding, and a strategic perspective to partners across the organization. Your data analysis skills will help partners make better decisions based on meaningful insights. You will work closely with Engineering and Product Management teams, utilizing your expertise to deliver valuable recommendations and insights. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Finance, User Experience (UX), Product Management (PM), and Engineering teams to establish analytics and experimentation infrastructure that enables data-driven decision-making. - Identify business problems suitable for a data science approach, bring clarity to the issues, apply appropriate analytical solutions, and propose actions to enhance the product and user experience. - Foster a culture of continuous learning within the team by exploring new data sources, tools, and methodologies to improve investigative capabilities and drive innovation. - Manage relationships between cross-product teams, and assess and communicate tradeoffs to achieve common objectives effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in analysis applications such as extracting insights, statistical analysis, or solving business problems, along with proficiency in coding languages like Python, R, SQL. Alternatively, 2 years of work experience with a Master's degree. - Preferred: Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
