Employment Type: Part Time Hours committed: 20 hrs in the week Location: Remote, India Role Overview: We are seeking highly qualified individuals with a strong background in Mathematics ideally Professors or Assistant Professors from leading Indian institutions to contribute to the design and evaluation of large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will emulate mathematical problem-solving, create high-quality prompts and training data, and develop structured representations of tasks to enhance model reasoning in mathematics education and research. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Simulate expert-level reasoning in mathematics across various domains (e.g., algebra, calculus, number theory, statistics, linear algebra). Design prompts and few-shot examples to guide the model toward solving complex mathematical problems. Generate synthetic datasets including proof-based questions, conceptual explanations, step-by-step solutions, and problem sets. Define schemas or abstract task representations for mathematical reasoning, such as symbolic manipulation, theorem verification, or quantitative modeling. Build evaluation scenarios that test model performance in structured problem-solving, real-world applications, or mathematical instruction. Design scoring rubrics to assess the rigor, correctness, and clarity of model-generated mathematical outputs. Simulate interactions with external tools like symbolic solvers or computational systems (e.g., WolframAlpha, Python math libraries). Requirements: Professors/Assistant Professors in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from top Indian institutions. Deep understanding of mathematical reasoning, abstraction, and pedagogy. Experience with large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-based educational tools is a plus. Ability to structure and communicate complex mathematical concepts with clarity. Strong attention to logical consistency and accuracy in computational tasks. Passion for improving AI capabilities in mathematical understanding and problem-solving.
