Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling & Architecture

• Design and develop

  conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  aligned with Medallion architecture principles.
• Build

  Star and Snowflake schemabased Subject Area Marts

  for analytical and operational use cases.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, reusable, and governed data models.
• Define

  canonical models

  ,

  conformed dimensions

  , and

  semantic layers/ Subject Area Marts

  to support enterprise reporting and analytics.

Tools & Technical Expertise

• Use

  Erwin/ ER Studio Data Modeler

  extensively for model design, versioning, and metadata management.
• Ensure modeling best practices including naming standards, normalization/denormalization decisions, SCD handling, and referential integrity.
• Write complex

  SQL

  for data exploration, validation, profiling, and supporting ETL/ELT development teams.

Data Analysis & Collaboration

• Analyze data from various source systems (structured/unstructured) to derive relationships, transformations, and quality constraints.
• Partner with data engineering teams to ensure models are accurately implemented in

  Bronze, Silver, and Gold

  layers.
• Work with business stakeholders and product owners to validate requirements and refine domain models.

Governance & Documentation

• Maintain detailed

  STTM documents, data dictionaries, ERDs

  , and change logs.
• Define data standards, modeling guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across domains.
• Contribute to data quality rules, lineage documentation, and metadata governance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 67 years

  of hands-on experience in data modeling across large-scale data platforms.
• Strong expertise in designing

  Star schemas

  ,

  Snowflake schemas

  , and domain-centric subject area marts.
• Proficiency in

  ERwin Data Modeler

  (mandatory).
• Strong SQL skills and experience performing deep data analysis and profiling.
• Understanding of

  Medallion Architecture (Bronze Silver Gold)

  and experience working with modern data lake/lakehouse platforms.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams (Databricks/Snowflake/Azure/AWS preferred).
• Excellent communication and ability to lead modeling discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience

  leading or mentoring a small team

Good to Have

• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern ELT/ETL frameworks.
• Exposure to data governance tools like Collibra/Alation.
