As a Business Analyst Data Modeler at MetLife, you play a crucial role in the data and analytics (D&A) organization. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that data is structured, organized, and effectively represented according to the organization's needs. By designing logical and physical data models, you contribute to the implementation of robust data models that accurately capture, store, and manage data end to end. Key Responsibilities: - Perform data modeling activities (Logical, Physical) using CA Erwin Data Modeler - Gather, understand, and analyze business requirements accurately - Analyze data using SQL - Partner with other teams to understand data needs and translate them into effective data models - Collaborate with stakeholders to provide domain-based solutions - Implement industry data modeling standards, best practices, and emerging technologies - Develop hands-on experience with API development and integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) Qualifications Required: Education: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related tech or business discipline Experience: - 3-5 years hands-on experience in CA Erwin - 3-5 years experience in SQL, data modeling, and data analysis - Ability to communicate effectively - Understanding of API Design and Ingestion - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels of management, including translating complex ideas and data into actionable steps for business units Technical Skills: - Strong SQL skills - Hands-on experience with ERWIN tool - Familiarity with Agile best practices - Strong collaboration and facilitation skills Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with Azure cloud - Experience in a client-facing role/environment In addition, MetLife, a global financial services company, is recognized as one of the "World's Most Admired Companies" and Fortune Worlds 25 Best Workplaces.
