Summary: As a Data Modeler, a typical day involves engaging closely with various stakeholders including business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects. The role focuses on understanding existing data structures and designing new data models that align with business needs and technical requirements. This position requires continuous collaboration to ensure data models are accurate, efficient, and support organizational goals. The Data Modeler plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation by facilitating communication and translating complex data requirements into practical solutions.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Lead efforts to ensure data models meet both current and future business needs.- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall capabilities.- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align data modeling activities with broader project goals.Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills:
Proficiency in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies.- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.- Experience with data warehousing and database design principles.- Ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into effective data models.- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.- Skilled in using data modeling tools and software to create and maintain data models.Additional Information:
