Data Governance & Stewardship Architect

As a Data Governance & Stewardship Architect at NTT DATA, your role will involve supporting enterprise data initiatives with your detail-oriented approach and 8-12 years of experience. You will be responsible for analyzing and documenting existing data architecture, models, and flows, identifying gaps and prioritizing remediation areas in the current data landscape. Collaboration with stakeholders to validate findings and support Master Data Management initiatives will be crucial. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and document existing data architecture, models, and flows across systems. - Identify gaps, redundancies, and technical debts in the current data landscape. - Collaborate with stakeholders to validate findings and prioritize remediation areas. - Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and best practices. - Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and data stewardship processes. - Establish governance frameworks for metadata, data lineage, and business semantics. - Conduct data discovery exercises to understand data sources, usage, and quality. - Implement data quality checks and reference data management practices. - Maintain and enhance data dictionaries, glossaries, and metadata repositories. - Engage with business teams and senior technology stakeholders to gather requirements and share insights. - Facilitate workshops and discussions to align data governance goals with organizational priorities. - Present findings, recommendations, and roadmaps to leadership and cross-functional teams. - Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory requirements in data governance. - Recommend tools and technologies to enhance data governance maturity. - Contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - 8-12 years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data architecture roles. - Strong understanding of data models, metadata, data dictionaries, and business semantics. - Experience with MDM, data quality tools, and reference data management. - Familiarity with reporting systems, system extracts, and enterprise data platforms. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to data governance.
