Data Engineer - Vice President

As a Data Engineer at JP Morgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in delivering end-to-end data pipeline solutions on cloud infrastructure using the latest technologies and industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include: - Delivering end-to-end data pipeline solutions on cloud infrastructure, ensuring they meet resiliency, performance, security, testing, quality, and scalability standards. - Supporting the products you've built throughout their lifecycle, including production and incident management. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with applied experience. - Recent hands-on professional experience as a data engineer. - Proficiency in coding in Python. - Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, data transformation frameworks, and data pipeline orchestration tools. - Ability to manage large volumes of data and optimize data processing. - Familiarity with event-based architecture, data streaming, and messaging frameworks. - Designing and implementing effective tests such as unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests. - Collaborative mindset to work in a team environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns. - Stakeholder management skills and the ability to prioritize work across multiple streams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred qualifications include: - Experience in a highly regulated environment or industry. - Knowledge of data governance frameworks. - Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies. - Understanding of incremental data processing and versioning. - Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web technologies.
