Data Engineer (SAS)

As a Data Engineer at VAM Systems in Bahrain, you will play a crucial role in handling financial data, developing SQL procedures, and utilizing various tools to ensure effective data management and reporting. Here's a breakdown of what will be expected from you: **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for consolidating and analyzing financial data, contributing to data warehouse design, and developing SQL procedures and ETL jobs to ensure accurate and efficient data handling. **Key Responsibilities:** - Consolidate and analyze financial data, including budgets, income statement forecasts, Balance Sheet, and Profit and Loss, to support company goals and financial standing. - Build stored procedures and ETL jobs to reconcile transactions, correct data discrepancies, and manage the month-end close process. - Contribute to data warehouse design, relational database management systems, and database design solutions. - Develop SQL Server T-SQL procedures/functions for batch processing and reports according to user requirements. - Build SAS EG and SAS DI jobs to facilitate data processing and analysis. - Research and resolve discrepancies in financial data to ensure data accuracy. - Manage the month-end close process efficiently. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. - Professional training in SQL Development, SAS EG, and SAS DI. - Certifications in Database, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle (minimum 3+ years required). As part of the terms and conditions, the selected candidate will be required to join VAM Systems in Bahrain within a time frame of 15 to 30 days.
