Job Description: Title: Data Engineer (AWS) Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months (Can be extendable) Job Summary: ProArch is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in Data Engineering and Data Migration . The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in migrating data from Oracle to PostgreSQL, leveraging AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) . This role also requires strong programming skills in Python and PySpark to support data transformation tasks within complex migration projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable and reliable data migration solutions from Oracle to PostgreSQL. Utilize AWS DMS to manage and execute large-scale database migration projects. Develop data transformation pipelines using Python and PySpark. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, analysts, and DevOps to ensure smooth migration processes. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of data migration pipelines. Maintain data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle. Document technical solutions, migration processes, and best practices. Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Migration. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle to PostgreSQL migration. Proficiency with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark. Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, and performance tuning. Experience in handling large datasets and data quality assurance. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Experience with additional cloud data services (e.g., AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift).
