Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Snowflake (or other data warehouses).
Work with structured and unstructured data across diverse data sources.
Optimize and tune data workflows and transformations for performance and cost efficiency.
Leverage AWS services such as
Lambda
,
Batch
,
Boto3
,
SQS
, and
SNS
for building and deploying cloud-native data solutions.
Integrate and manage workflows using orchestration tools such as
Airflow
or
Dagster
.
Implement data quality, lineage, and monitoring solutions to ensure the integrity and reliability of data systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to define and deliver data requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

5-8 years
of strong experience in
Python
, with a focus on data engineering or backend development.
2+ years
of hands-on experience in
Snowflake
.
5+ years
of experience in at least one major cloud data warehouse (
Snowflake
,
BigQuery
, or
Redshift
).
3+ years
working with
AWS
services, especially
Lambda
,
Batch
,
Boto3
,
SQS
, and
SNS
.
Proficiency in
at least two
of the following:

PySpark
Airflow
or
Dagster
Kinesis
Data Lineage Tools
Data Quality Tools
ELT processes and frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data deployments.
Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing design, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
