Job Description

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating closely with the data engineering and analytics teams to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and scalable data solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using Snowflake or Databricks. - Collaborating with data analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements. - Optimizing data workflows to ensure data quality, performance, and security. - Writing efficient SQL queries for data transformation and cleansing. - Monitoring and troubleshooting data issues in pipelines and storage systems. - Documenting solutions, data models, and processes for future reference. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or data platform development. - Hands-on experience with either Snowflake (data warehousing, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, etc.) or Databricks (PySpark/Scala/SQL notebooks, Delta Lake, MLflow, etc.). - Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques. - Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience with version control tools like Git. - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have: - Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines in data environments. - Basic understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security principles.,
