Job Description

Role Overview: As a Data Engineer-II within the Data Analytics And AI Solutions (DAAI) Program at Mastercard Services, you will be a part of a dynamic team focused on enhancing customer experience through the development of new user interfaces, API and web application-based data publishing, and utilizing new data sets and algorithms to enhance analytic capabilities. You will lead the technical design and development of an Analytic Foundation, offering a suite of individually commercialized analytical capabilities and a comprehensive data platform. Your role will involve partnering with various business areas to build and enhance solutions that drive value for customers. You will work in small, flexible teams where every member contributes to designing, building, and testing features across a range of tasks, from building UIs to architecting data flows. Key Responsibilities: - Play a significant role in implementing complex features - Push the boundaries of analytics and scalable applications - Build and maintain analytics and data models for performant and scalable products - Ensure high-quality code base through well-tested code and code reviews - Mentor junior engineers and teammates - Drive innovative improvements to team development processes - Collaborate with Product Managers and Customer Experience Designers to understand users and use cases for scoping and building new modules and features - Work closely with exceptional peers across teams who are passionate about their work Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of data engineering experience in an agile production environment - Experience leading the design and implementation of large, complex features in full-stack applications - Ability to collaborate across business, data management, and technical teams, identifying technical solutions for business use cases - Proficiency in Python or Scala, Spark, Hadoop platforms & tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Scoop), SQL for building Big Data products & platforms - Experience in building and deploying production-level data-driven applications and data processing workflows/pipelines - Experience in cloud technologies like Databricks/AWS/Azure - Strong technologist with a track record of learning new technologies and frameworks - Customer-centric development approach - Passion for analytical and quantitative problem-solving - Strong collaboration skills with experience working across roles and geographies - Superior academic record with a degree in Computer Science or related technical field - Strong written and verbal English communication skills,
