Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL and logical problem-solving skills. The role involves building and optimizing data solutions, engaging directly with customers, and translating business needs into technical workflows. Experience with ADF and Azure Databricks is a plus. Strong communication and customer-handling skills are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• SQL Development & Data Analysis Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for highperformance analytics and reporting.

• Requirement Gathering & Logical Design Understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and build scalable logical data models and workflows.

• ETL & Data Pipeline Development (Good to Have ADF/ADB) Assist in designing and maintaining ETL workflows and pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks (ADB).

• Customer Interaction & Stakeholder Communication Engage with customers and stakeholders, understand pain points, provide solutions, and deliver clear updates on project status.

• Troubleshooting & Optimization Identify performance bottlenecks in SQL queries, optimize execution plans, and ensure efficiency of data pipelines.

• Documentation & Best Practices Maintain clear technical documentation, adhere to data engineering best practices, and support knowledge sharing across teams.

Must Have:

• Strong hands-on experience in SQL (queries, procedures, performance tuning)

• Excellent logical building and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and customer-handling skills

• Ability to work closely with business teams and translate requirements into solutions

Good to Have:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL workflows

• Exposure to Azure Databricks (ADB) and data pipeline development

• Familiarity with cloud-based data engineering practices
