You are seeking a highly seasoned Data Architecture leader to oversee the enterprise data architecture function. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in building and scaling large-scale data platforms and be capable of shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of data architecture throughout the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deep Technical Expertise in Large-Scale Distributed Data Systems: - Designing and developing enterprise-class, internet-scale distributed data services. - Supporting mission-critical, high-volume transactional systems with stringent performance, reliability, and availability requirements. - Strong Experience Across Modern Data Ecosystems: - Proficiency in Data Lakes (enterprise-wide storage architectures). - Building and managing Data APIs to facilitate internal and external data consumption. - Familiarity with Data Fabric / Data Fabrication concepts, including metadata-driven data integration, virtualization, and automated data pipelines. - Leadership & Organizational Build-Out: - Leading or heading a Data Architecture or Enterprise Data Engineering function in a mid-to-large organization. - Demonstrating the ability to establish teams, processes, and platforms from the ground up. - Exhibiting strong leadership qualities by defining architectural standards, practices, governance models, and aligning stakeholders across engineering, product, and business. **Qualifications Required:** - 20+ years in data engineering/data architecture, with a minimum of 10+ years in a senior or head-of-architecture role. - Experience in cloud-native data platform architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure). - Proven track record of delivering resilient, scalable, secure data systems in high-growth or high-throughput environments.
