Data Architect

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect with strong technical and architectural skills to lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Python, Graph Databases, Snowflake (or any MPP database), and deep working knowledge of Azure Cloud services such as ADLS, ADF, Kubernetes, and Functions.

You will be instrumental in defining data architecture strategies, designing data models, and implementing cloud-native solutions that support analytics, reporting, and real-time processing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement end-to-end data architecture for enterprise-grade data platforms.

Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python.

Architect solutions using Graph Databases for complex, relationship-driven data models.

Leverage Snowflake or other MPP databases to design highly performant, scalable data warehouses.

Utilize Azure services including ADLS, ADF, Azure Functions, and Kubernetes to build cloud-native, distributed data solutions.

Establish and enforce data governance, security, and best practices across the organization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, scientists, and product teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of data storage and processing.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

710 years of overall experience in data engineering/architecture roles.

Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in designing reusable data processing frameworks and tools.

Hands-on experience with at least one Graph Database (e.g., Neo4j, TigerGraph, Amazon Neptune, ArangoDB).

In-depth knowledge of Snowflake or other MPP databases (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Teradata).

Significant experience with Azure Cloud Services, especially:

Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Azure Functions

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

Strong understanding of data modeling (relational, dimensional, and graph), data warehousing, and ETL/ELT architectures.

Experience in designing data security, lineage, and compliance frameworks.

Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business terms.
