Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, Automation & Analysis at Springer Nature Group, you will play a crucial role in contributing to data and reporting activities supporting both BAU processes and strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will include building dashboards, delivering advanced analytics, ensuring data quality, and managing a portfolio of journals in collaboration with Publishing teams. You will work closely with the Manager, Automation & Analysis, as well as the wider GPO team, to contribute to data and reporting activities supporting both BAU processes and strategic initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include data analysis, journal care, and other related tasks. - Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools primarily using Looker and Google BigQuery. - Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for improving operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. - Gather system requirements from publishers, editors, and service providers and set up peer review systems. - Conduct presentations and training sessions for internal and external stakeholders. - Ensure quality of article-level activities, maintain journal-specific records, and develop relationships with stakeholders. - Advocate for continuous improvement, quality, and efficiency within the team and with stakeholders. - Working experience with large datasets, Looker, Google BigQuery, and other BI tools. - Previous experience in publishing and/or support roles. - Strong analytical skills, numeracy skills, and attention to detail. - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and programming languages. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. - Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field. - Additional training or certification in data analysis, business intelligence, or data visualization is desirable.,
