Role Details: Position: Data Analyst Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India Role Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive reporting solution that provide actionable insights from our diverse data sources. You will leverage your strong analytical skills and deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database querying to create a reporting solution to serve as a data source for impactful reports and dashboards. A key skill required will be the ability to directly query and analyze MongoDB databases, alongside other relational and non-relational databases. Key Responsibilities: Source Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of source data to understand its structure, quality, and relationships. Identify data inconsistencies and propose solutions for data cleansing and normalization. Document source data models and data dictionaries. Write complex queries to extract and analyze data directly from MongoDB databases. Optimize MongoDB queries for performance. Understand and work with MongoDB data structures and aggregation pipelines. Database Modeling: Design and implement efficient data models for reporting databases, considering performance, scalability, and data integrity. Develop and maintain data warehouses and data marts to support reporting requirements. Database Querying and Optimization: Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases. Optimize database queries for performance and efficiency. Understand and implement database indexing strategies. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and understand business needs. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Document reporting processes and procedures. Qualifications: Minimum 3-6 years of experience in data analysis. Proficient in SQL with proven experience writing complex queries (e.g., joins, window functions, CTEs). Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including performance tuning and indexing strategies. Proficient with MongoDB, including: Writing queries using Mongo Shell or drivers & Implementing multi-stage Aggregation Pipelines (e.g., $match, $group, $project, $lookup, $unwind) Strong understanding of relational and non-relational data models. Ability to coordinate with Business Stakeholders and Application Leads to map business requirements to data model & reporting logic. Familiarity with version control tools such as Git. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
