IBM is searching for self-motivated Front-End Developer who designs, implements and tests enjoy crafting beautiful and high performing user interfaces for IBM Cloud Security Engineering web applications leveraging the latest front-end development methodologies, tools, and techniques. The Front-End Developer, working in IBM Cloud, needs to have a passion for technology and thrive in team environment, certain to leverage an outstanding professional community and innovative technologies to build own career growth. Responsibilities in this role include delivering innovative user experience in order to support, enable and improve all the Security Functions (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover, Compliance) across the entire IBM Cloud Platform. You will work with different stakeholders to understand user needs, available API data feeds and backend functionality and build clean and efficient UI integration using standard IBM Platforms like Carbon Design System. Among the several ongoing projects, your focus will be onsecurity tooling interconnection and enablement for new metrics and enhanced data intelligence, which are being used to support business decision. We are looking for someone who collaboratively contributes to design discussions and decisions, understanding both front-end and back-end concerns, while specializing in the front-end. You will work closely with back-end developers and data engineers to ensure UI and integration is matching users’ needs and requirements. You will assist the team by developing user interfaces, including authentication, interactions, responsive layouts, and styling while ensuring user interfaces are accessible and enhance the performance of the application. The Front-End Developer will work in an agile, collaborative environment across different geos and cross functional teams. Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, Computer Science (or relevant) 2+ years' experience in front end development using JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries/frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, Bootstrap. Experience in API and microservices / backend development as well as building API driven interfaces Basic design ability, Including knowledge of UI/UX and prototype design pattern Hands on experience in teams' collaboration and deployments using Git workflow and version control in agile / DevOps environment Preferred technical and professional experience Knowledge and hands-on experience building web interfaces using complex design systems with pre-configured assets and components likeCarbon Design System Experience working with containerization (IKS, Kubernetes) & CI/CD tools (Travis or Jenkins) Knowledge and practice of Cyber Security principles Practical experience in services integration on cloud Knowledge about Cyber security principles and compliance frameworks (Security Engineering, Cryptography, NIST security framework) Knowledge and practice data extraction, manipulation and advanced analytics Cross browser testing and tuning as well as testing and resolving performance concerns
