Job Title: Senior Vice President (SVP) Cyber Advisory Basic Qualifications (Mandatory) BE/ B.Tech in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. OR MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech/ M.Sc in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP , or MBA (Technology Management) . Experience (Mandatory) 15+ years overall experience , with 810 years in Cyber Threat Defense at a senior level . Proven experience in managing or working in a Cybersecurity Advisory environment . Experience (Preferred) Experience in setting up or working at senior level in a Centre of Excellence (CoE) . Solid understanding of Banking & Financial Services Industry (BFSI) regulations and compliance requirements , including but not limited to: RBI Cybersecurity Framework SEBI Cybersecurity Guidelines Data Protection Laws PCI-DSS / NIST Frameworks Other BFSI regulatory requirements (Note: Document submission during application is not mandatory; however, credentials mentioned in resume/application will be verified at the time of interview.) Key Skills & Competencies The SVP – Cyber Advisory will require strong leadership, strategic advisory expertise, and deep cybersecurity knowledge to guide SBI’s strategic cybersecurity initiatives. Strategic Advisory & Program Skills Proven ability to drive outcome-oriented cybersecurity advisory roles with multiple stakeholders. Experience in strategy development, implementation, and evaluation of customer awareness programs . Expertise in measuring cybersecurity program effectiveness and driving continuous improvements. Ability to design, evaluate, and steer mass-scale cybersecurity initiatives . Collaboration skills to work with academia, industry partners, and government agencies . Leadership & Management Skills Strong leadership with ability to manage resources, lead teams, and guide research projects aligned with organizational goals. People management, mentoring, and team-building capabilities . Ethical awareness and integrity with a strong public service orientation . Ability to align cyber advisory initiatives with SBI’s organizational objectives and enhance its cybersecurity posture. Technical & Analytical Skills Deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends . Strong knowledge of advanced cyber defense concepts, threat analytics, and market trend analysis . Experience in leading security researchers and cybersecurity innovation teams . Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations . Communication & Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex cybersecurity concepts to diverse stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across Government, BFSI, Academia, and Industry . Ability to foster a collaborative, outcome-focused environment . Role Objective The Senior Vice President – Cyber Advisory will: Lead SBI’s cybersecurity advisory and strategic defense initiatives . Provide expert guidance on cyber defense, threat mitigation, and resilience strategies . Drive customer awareness programs and public-facing cyber initiatives to strengthen SBI’s cyber resilience. Collaborate with industry, academia, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure SBI’s cyber posture is aligned with best practices and compliance standards . Act as a strategic advisor and thought leader , positioning SBI at the forefront of cyber defense and advisory excellence.
