Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and optimize
Postgres
databases for high availability and performance.
Administer
MongoDB
for session storage management.
Implement monitoring dashboards using
Grafana with PGWatch
.
Perform
SQL performance tuning and optimization
.
Oversee
database design, data modeling, and architecture reviews
.
Provide
production support
including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and proactive maintenance.
Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage in applications.

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)

Strong hands-on experience with
Postgres administration
(installation, configuration, optimization).
MongoDB
administration knowledge (session storage use cases).
Expertise with
Grafana + PGWatch
for monitoring.
Proven experience in
SQL performance tuning & optimization
.
Solid understanding of
database design, data modeling, and architecture principles
.
Experience working in
production support environments
with strong troubleshooting skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of
cloud database platforms
(AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP equivalents).
Familiarity with
NoSQL databases
beyond MongoDB.
Scripting knowledge (
Python, Shell, PowerShell
) for automation.
Exposure to
CI/CD pipelines
for database changes.
Experience with
high-availability, clustering, and replication strategies
.
