Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Senior SAS Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of SAS-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAS programming, DB2 data integration, large-scale data handling, analytics, and performance tuning, along with the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and enhance SAS programs for data processing, analytics, and reporting.Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.Build and maintain complex SAS components using Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, and Enterprise Guide.Perform detailed data analysis, validation, and quality checks on large datasets.Optimize SAS code for performance, scalability, and efficiency.Ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data outputs and reports.Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Prepare technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and process documentation.Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices.Required Skills &
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.5+ years of hands-on experience with Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS programming.Strong understanding of data transformation, ETL concepts, and data validation techniques.Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.Experience handling large datasets and performance tuning of SAS jobs.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.Good to Have:Domain expertise in BFSI.SAS certification (e.g., Base Programmer, Advanced Programmer, or other SAS credentials).Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Qualification 15 years full time education
