Summary:As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing modern frameworks, and applying agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions that meet specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving and innovation to ensure that the software solutions are tailored effectively to the requirements of the organization.We are seeking a talented DevOps engineer who will focus primarily on DevOps to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure with back-end development using Java with SpringBoot framework and work closely with front-end developers.This individual will collaborate with front-end developers and help integrate the system through seamless front-end and back-end communication, as well as ensure robust deployment practices.You will take a key role in building scalable and efficient backend applications, while also driving DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline management, cloud infrastructure deployment using AWS, and managing infrastructure with Terraform.This position offers an exciting opportunity to bridge development and operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:

DevOps Focus:Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment, and streamline the development lifecycle. Utilize tools such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and GitHub Apps.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:Deploy and manage infrastructure resources in AWS using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Work with services like Lambda, EC2, EKS, and Secrets Manager to ensure that cloud environments are optimized, scalable, and cost-efficient.

Kubernetes:Oversee the deployment and scaling of applications using Kubernetes, ensuring efficient containerization and orchestration of services across development, staging, and production environments.

Automation & Deployment:Assist in automating deployment workflows and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform to ensure easy scalability and reliable deployments.

API Integration:Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend APIs with front-end React applications.

Back-End Development:Lead the design and implementation of Java-based back-end services using the Spring Boot framework to deliver robust and scalable RESTful APIs. Also, maintain and oversee security middleware developed in Node.js, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

Authentication & Security:Implement secure OAuth 2.0 authentication mechanisms, ensuring that the front-end is well-secured and integrates seamlessly with back-end authentication systems.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:Work closely with back-end developers, product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and ensure that development and deployment processes are efficient and effective.

Performance Optimization:Continuously monitor and optimize both front-end and back-end performance, ensuring fast load times, minimal downtime, and a seamless user experience.

Expected to perform independently and become an SME.

Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.

Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to enhance code quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:

Experience:3+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on Java for back-end development and React.js for front-end integration. Along with working knowledge of Node.js, particularly for managing and maintaining security-related middleware.

DevOps Experience:Strong experience with DevOps practices, including automating deployment processes, managing CI/CD pipelines, and working with cloud environments.

Cloud Technologies:Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, EKS, Secrets Manager, CodePipeline, and CodeBuild. Knowledge of deploying and managing infrastructure using Terraform.

Kubernetes:Practical knowledge of managing containerized applications and orchestrating deployments using Kubernetes.

API Integration:Experience with integrating front-end applications (React.js) with back-end services (Java) via RESTful APIs.

Authentication & Security:Understanding of OAuth 2.0 authentication and implementing secure, scalable authentication systems.

CI/CD Tools:Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Apps, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and related automated deployment and testing tools.

Collaboration & Communication:Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams (front-end, back-end, DevOps) and for troubleshooting and resolving integration issues.

Problem-Solving:Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to optimize both front-end and back-end performance.

Preferred
Qualifications:Bachelor??s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization principles. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer) are a plus.

Must To Have Skills:

Proficiency in DevOps.

Strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps.

This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

A 15 years full time education is required.
