CSSD Technician

As a CSSD Technician in the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) at the hospital located in Pala-Erattupetta Road, Kaduvamuzhi, Erattupetta, Kerala 686121, your role involves the following key responsibilities: - Perform cleaning, packing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical and medical instruments. - Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners safely and efficiently. - Ensure all sterilized items are properly labeled, stored, and tracked. - Maintain documentation of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance. - Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols. - Support surgical and nursing departments by ensuring timely supply of sterile instruments. - Participate in audits, preventive maintenance, and quality improvement activities in CSSD. To qualify for this position, you should have: - Diploma/Certification in CSSD Technology or a relevant field. - 6 months to 1 year of experience as a CSSD Technician in a hospital setting (mandatory). - Basic understanding of hospital quality and infection control standards. - Knowledge of sterilization methods, instrument handling, and quality documentation. - Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
