Job Title: CSSD Technician Location: Malar Hospital, Hosur Department: Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) Reports To: CSSD Incharge / Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and responsible CSSD Technician to carry out the sterilization, disinfection, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of infection control protocols and must ensure proper handling and availability of sterile instruments as per hospital standards. Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and other reusable medical equipment. Operate and monitor autoclaves, ETO machines, and other sterilization equipment. Pack and label sterile items following protocols and expiry norms. Maintain logs and records of sterilization processes and equipment checks. Ensure sterile supplies are delivered to Operation Theatres, ICUs, and wards as needed. Follow infection control practices, PPE usage, and waste disposal protocols. Monitor sterilization indicators and report any malfunction or deviation. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the CSSD area. Coordinate with OT, ICU, and nursing teams for instrument needs. Assist in audits and ensure compliance with NABH guidelines. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma in CSSD Technology or relevant paramedical qualification. 1–2 years of experience in a hospital CSSD (preferred). Knowledge of sterilization techniques (Steam, ETO, Plasma). Attention to detail, hygiene consciousness, and good communication skills. Familiarity with NABH standards is an advantage.
