Creature TD - CFX

As a CFX Artist at Double Negative, you will play a crucial role in the creation of animation and simulation rigs for a variety of elements such as creatures, digital doubles, vehicles, and props. Your responsibilities will involve devising both technical and creative solutions to produce high-quality rigs and simulations that align with the production requirements. You should possess a minimum of 5 years" experience in feature films or feature animation, showcasing a solid expertise in creature specialisation including rigging and enveloping in Maya, cloth, hair, flesh, rigid body destruction, and crowd simulations. Proficiency in Maya and hands-on experience in Houdini are essential. Additionally, being comfortable with the technical aspects of creature work, having strong visual and artistic skills, and understanding pipeline issues in a creature-heavy post-production environment are key requirements. Desirable skills include programming or scripting abilities, such as Python or Mel, depending on your specialisation area. An interest in anatomy, tailoring, grooming, or mechanics related to your field, familiarity with Houdini Creature FX set-ups and simulation, a solid General TD background, and a good understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systems are advantageous.
