About the Role

Creative Director

This role requires visionary leadership, strong artistic sensibilities, and deep technical understanding of real-time production.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Vision & Direction

  • Define and maintain the

    overall creative vision

    for the game and digital twin products.
  • Set the benchmark for

    high visual quality, realism, and immersive worldbuilding

    .
  • Drive the artistic tone, narrative style, visual storytelling, and game feel.
  • Ensure a unified creative direction across gameplay, worldbuilding, cinematics, UI/UX, and technical pipelines.

Art Leadership

  • Lead and supervise world-building, environment art, character art, lighting, VFX, and cinematic direction.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for

    photorealism, visual consistency, and artistic excellence

    .
  • Mentor Art Directors, Technical Artists, and other senior creatives.

Unreal Engine & Technical Expertise

  • Work hands-on with

    Unreal Engine 5

    to guide art-tech workflows and production.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and technical art to define:
  • Rendering pipelines
  • Material and shader standards
  • Lighting setups
  • Performance budgets
  • Asset pipelines
  • World Partition, HLODs, Nanite, Lumen workflows
  • Oversee usage of Sequencer, real-time cinematics, and next-gen tools.

Digital Twin & Simulation Vision

  • Provide creative and visual direction for

    real-time digital twins

    , urban simulations, virtual environments, and architectural visualizations.
  • Ensure high levels of

    realism, accuracy, and visual integrity

    in data-driven environments.
  • Align creative output with technical and simulation requirements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Guide multidisciplinary teams including Art, Design, Engineering, Narrative, UX, and Production.
  • Communicate the creative vision clearly to leadership, stakeholders, and publishers.
  • Drive creative reviews, quality gates, milestones, and prototyping.

Quality Ownership

  • Own the final

    visual quality bar

    from concept to shipped product.
  • Ensure consistency across environments, characters, vehicles, props, UI, VFX, and cinematics.
  • Make high-level decisions on art style, tone, color usage, lighting, and storytelling.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 10+ years experience as a Creative Director

    in gaming, real-time simulation, or immersive media.
  • Proven track record leading the creative vision of

    AAA-quality games

    or large-scale simulation/digital twin projects.
  • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced production environments.

Unreal Engine Mastery

  • Deep knowledge of

    Unreal Engine 4/5

    production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Lighting & rendering
  • Materials & shaders
  • Nanite / Lumen
  • World Partition & large-world systems
  • Performance optimization
  • Sequencer & real-time cinematics

Art Background

  • Strong foundation in one or more of:
  • Environment Art
  • ArchViz
  • VFX
  • Cinematography
  • Excellent understanding of

    composition, color theory, real-world lighting, and visual storytelling

    .

Leadership

  • Proven ability to guide, inspire, and manage creative teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams and translate creative vision into scalable real-time solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in open-world games, sandbox systems, or large-scale real-time environments.
  • Knowledge of digital twin workflows, real-world geographic data, procedural generation, or GIS integration.
  • Familiarity with photogrammetry, motion capture, and advanced real-time rendering tools.
  • Passion for next-gen visuals, worldbuilding, and immersive experiences.
